Barwon Disability Cricket League final match at the Belmont Common The final game of the season saw the South Barwon/Newtown combination go down narrowly the Newcomb Bulls in a keenly fought match. Newcomb batted first scoring 1 for 60 and were able to hold sway against the Two Blues 5/58. The usual presentation and BBQ followed to wind up another successful Barwon Disability Cricket league season.
Barwon Disability Cricket League round 2 at Colac The road trip to Colac proved a most enjoyable afternoon despite the combined team from N&CCC and South Barwon going down to the locals in a keenly fought contest. Great to welcome Fiona back to the fold after an illness but at the same time we missed Justin who wasn’t well enough to make the trip. Fiona with 2/18 and Sarge with 1/19 took the bowling honors while Shane, Hayden and Daniel all fired with the bat.
Thanks to Gay and Bryson from the Colac Cricket Club for their hospitality which we will gladly reciprocate in two weeks on Shaw Oval. Photo Courtesy of the Colac Herald.
